Mark Griffith
Song Writing and Music Making

Picture
You'll find some of my original songs and collaborations here.  The site is simply a place where people can check my attempts at being creative. I don't think anyone I don't know would find the site so if you want more "about me" info, you can simply ask me. (Notes on the the "Visitors Page" go to my email.)

Where the website name, Orange Peel Sailboats, comes from:

How to make an orange peel sailboat:
1. Cut an orange in quarters.
2. Peel the quartered orange. (Eating the orange is a good idea.)
3. Place a tooth pick in the peel to act as a mast.
4. Cut a piece of paper in a triangle of appropriate size to glue on to the toothpick to act as a flag...decorate the flag or leave the flag plain as you will.
5. Find some water of appropriate expanse to sail your "boat."
6. Exercise your imagination.

What's New?

The Albums and Selected Songs link has been updated:
  • The "Save Us" album is songs from 2102
  • The "You Need a Band" "album" of songs from 2011
  • The "Selected Songs" are  songs from previous albums and some works in progress
  • "Collaborations" features recordings Dave (DJB) and I completed in 2011.
  • The "DJB Originals" page features some of Dave's original works that he was kind enough to allow me to house on this site.

The Videos link has been updated with a new home-made music video, "Just Passing Through."

Other than that, I'm learning to play some Hank Williams songs with my friend Bud who makes the pedal steel guitar sing.
